Welcome to Year 2! Although we are part of the Foundation Phase we are located within the Junior school building. We are very fortunate to have two classes and direct access to the a large garden area, as well as a covered decking area which we can use all year round. This year the class team consists of Mrs Donna Fitches (class teacher), Miss Lynne Adams and Miss Rhian Benjamin. We strongly believe that children learn best through fun and practical activities that motivate children to always try their best. We work hard to make the children in our class feel supported, safe and important, and also to make sure that they are happy. Themes that we usually cover are Marvellou
s Me! An Entrepeneur week whereby we design, make and sell Christmas decorations, The Great Outdoors and Pirates! We also look at celebrations such Diwali and the Chinese New Year. These themes 
may change depending on the children's particular interests and any unusual events. We encourage children to read daily at home and to play educational games such as Spelling Shed and TTRockstars as much as possible to help develop both their numerical and literacy skills. Our PE session is every Friday.
