We are nearly at the end of January after a busy first few weeks back at school.<\/p>\n

Please find enclosed dates\/events scheduled up until the end of the Easter term.<\/p>\n

Tric a Chlic Training (Parents Nursery \u2013 Blwyddyn 2)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

On the 30th of<\/sup> January 2:30 \u2013 3:00pm<\/strong> , we will be holding \u00a0a drop-in session at the school \u00a0with Eirian Jones who will be showing Year 2 parents\/guardians\u00a0 how to help their children at home with their Welsh reading and language skills.<\/p>\n

The school is currently using the \u00a0\u2018Tric a Chlic\u2019 scheme to develop these skills. Eirian will show you how this works and will give advice on how you can support your children further.<\/p>\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for you as parents and guardians and we \u00a0look forward to welcoming you to the session.<\/p>\n

Dydd Miwsig Cymru<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

An exciting date for the diary! It\u2019s \u2018Welsh Music Day\u2019 \u2013 \u2018Dydd Miwsig Cymru\u2019 on Friday, 9th<\/sup> February<\/strong>. Our Criw Cymraeg have decided to host a fun filled day where pupils will be \u00a0invited to dress up as a famous Welsh musician. There will be some exciting activities held throughout the day and I\u2019m sure the staff will be dressing up also!! Please do not go into any expense regarding this activity, speak to staff who can advise on a costume or alternatively they can \u00a0bring a photo of their favourite Welsh singer.<\/p>\n

Half Term Holidays<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The school will close on Friday, 9th<\/sup> February<\/strong> for half term. We will reopen on Monday, 19th<\/sup> February.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

School Eisteddfod<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our school Eisteddfod will take place on Friday, March 1st<\/sup><\/strong> this year. Your child\/children will need to dress up in their team colours or in the usual traditional Welsh clothing or kits.<\/p>\n

Please contact your child\u2019s class teacher if you are not sure which team your child is in.<\/p>\n

By now, your child should be rehearsing their reciting and singing pieces with their class teacher. We look forward to the Eisteddfod every year and are looking forward to celebrating this day with all the children.<\/p>\n

World Book Day<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

World Book Day is held this year on Thursday, 7th<\/sup> March<\/strong>. We invite the children to bring their favourite book from home (please label) and\/or to dress up as their favourite book character! Again, please don\u2019t go to any extra expense if your child wants to dress up. The school can advise on cheap ways for your child to com to school as their favourite character from literature.<\/p>\n

Agor Drysau \u2013 Opening Doors<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pupils will get an opportunity to visit the Art Centre on either Tuesday the 12th<\/sup> or Wednesday the 13th<\/sup> of March<\/strong> to see a performance as part of an international drama festival organised by Arad Goch. More details to follow.<\/p>\n
