Dear Parent/Guardian,
I would like to update you on the current situation regarding the schools’ arrangements for Coronavirus. We are constantly being guided by new information from the Welsh Government, Public Health Wales and Ceredigion Council.
Following further advice from the Authority, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
- If your child shows symptoms of Coronavirus you will need to keep them at home.
- Advice on self-isolation from Public Health Wales is a little vague as regards to all individuals living in the same household. As we feel that there is a high probability that children / parents will inevitably mix with each other during a period of self-isolation, we recommend that all people living in the same house should self-isolate for 14 calendar days. This advice may change in the coming days and we will keep you updated.
- Our daily routine and education in school will continue, but we will manage the risks by preventing trips and public events. We are awaiting confirmation about whether these arrangements will impact the Manor Adventure trip in the summer term.
- There will be no swimming, off-site visits or meetings for the foreseeable future.
- If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us at school on 01970 617011/625809. We kindly ask you not to share your concerns through social websites but by contacting us directly.
- If your child is absent you must notify the school. If you can’t get through, please leave a message.
- To ensure that everyone in our care as safe as possible parents/carers are asked NOT to enter the school. Please drop children off at the main entrance to each building and they will be met by a member of staff.

During the next few days we will be sharing information and guidelines on how to access the 360 Hub, some useful websites and books so that you will be able to access resources to help your child learn at home, should the need arise.
