Dear Parent / Guardian,

CIRCUIT BREAK

I am sure that you will now be aware of the short circuit break period that the Welsh Government is introducing from Friday 23rd October to Monday 9th November.

We are pleased that schools will be open for all primary age pupils during the circuit break period, and assure you that we will continue to prioritise the health of our school community. This includes taking the temperature of pupils, additional cleaning during the day and ensuring good hygiene. Each contact group will continue to be kept separate to limit the number of contacts with others during the day.

If your child comes to school by bus or taxi these arrangements will continue as normal. We will also continue to provide school lunches.

The clear aim of this short circuit break period is to try and prevent the further spread of Coronavirus. The new regulations for the circuit break state clearly that we should only to mix with people from within our own household. The only exception to this rule is for single parents, where it is possible to be in contact with one other household. It is not possible to mix with people from outside your household either inside or outside. It will be essential that parents/carers ensure that they keep to social distance when arriving at and collecting their children from school.

It is important that if any member of your household has Coronavirus symptoms then the whole household must self-isolate for 14 days or until a negative test result is received.

If everyone can follow the regulations for the next fortnight then we hope that it will be possible to continue to keep schools open through the winter.

We wish you well over the half-term holiday. Please remember that there is an Inset training day on Monday 2nd November. We will therefore welcome pupils back to school on Tuesday 3rd November.

Please stay safe and we’ll see you soon

Brian Evans

Head teacher
