Dear Parents/Guardians,

It has been great to see how well the children have settled back into school over the past month. We have already had some wonderful learning experiences and have some key dates and information to share with you now. Please remember that you can keep informed with what our children are getting up to by following our school twitter page @llwynyreos

Wednesday, 5th October – PTA meeting

The school PTA will meet on Wednesday, 5th October in the Juniors Hall at 3:30. Please make your way to the main reception. We hope to be able to host several events over the coming months to raise money for our pupils. The PTA plays an important part in providing further opportunities for our pupils. It would be great to see parental engagement in the meeting. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact Mr Steffan Davies – daviess1455@hwbcymru.net

Parents Evening: Tuesday, 11th October

Parents evening will happen on Tuesday, October 11th for classes Nursery – Year 6. Resource bases classes will not have parents evening on this date as you have meetings in the coming weeks and months. Your class teachers will inform you of the time that has been allocated to you. You will receive this time slot on Wednesday next week.

Kath Gaskell and Catrin Medi Pugh Jones our ALNCo/Deputy ALNCo will be available on that evening if any parents/guardians would like to discuss anything regarding Additional Learning Needs.

Half Term Holidays:

 

We will break up for half term holidays on Thursday the 27th of October. We have an INSET day on Friday the 28th. We will return to school on Monday, 7th November.

International Fortnight: November 7th – November 21st

The whole school will celebrate ‘international fortnight’ on the above dates. Each class will have a country and will be completing work on this country. We will share this work with you as parents and guardians. You will be informed closer to the time of which country your class will be studying by the class teachers.

School Photos – Wednesday, 9th November

Some welcome news! Siblings will be able to have photos with each other again.

Diwrnod Coch, Gwyn a Gwydd – Thursday, 10th November

On Thursday, November 10th we will dress up in Red, White or Green coloured clothing to celebrate the Urdd and our Welsh heritage. We will have whole school activities on throughout the day.

 

Children in Need – Friday, 18th November

More information to follow.

December 7th – Christmas Concert

  • Resource bases and Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 will perform in the afternoon.
  • Key Stage Two children will perform in the evening.

Information will be shared closer to the time regarding costumes, start times etc.

December 20th – Christmas Fair

The school will host a Christmas Fair. Children will be making products to sell to you as parents and our community. We will have stalls set up by school staff and we hope to provide you with some extra Christmas spirit!

School will close for the Christmas Holidays on Wednesday the 21st of December and reopen on January the 9th 2023.
